Founded in March 2022 in Tangier by a collective of chefs, culinary experts, researchers and tourism professionals, FAMG brings together stakeholders in Moroccan culinary arts around a shared mission: to record, document, transmit and promote this heritage nationally and internationally.

By partnering with Nuthex, the Foundation contributes its gastronomic expertise and network of chefs and regional know-how toward a shared ambition: recognized and valued Moroccan nutrition and gastronomy.

Sworn expert in tourism and hotel management — General Manager, Palais Zahia

A leading figure in tourism and hotel training in Morocco, Dr Salah Chakor directed hotel and tourism technology institutes across the Kingdom for over forty years — in Marrakech, Rabat, Arfoud, Ouarzazate and then Tangier — before founding FAMG in 2022.

Sworn expert before the Tangier Court of Appeal, he has advised professional training programmes in Morocco and internationally across Europe and North Africa. He now presides over the Foundation from Palais Zahia in Tangier's old medina, which he also manages.
